I ensure that students understand what activities and objectives make up an assessment and that they are aware of assessment criteria and timelines.

Assignments and activities in Brightspace can be labeled with dates and deadlines. You can make separate submission boxes for different groups or for re-sitters. Rubrics can also be attached, so that students refer to criteria while working on the assignment. If you use the grading function in Brightspace, students will also have access to an overview of their grades on assignments. These can also be exported to SIS.
